There comes a time in every man's life when he has to give in, wear a flat cap, shout at kids to 'Get off my lawn', and start writing letters to newspapers.
Bah! I'm never that bitter, especially not on account of rain. A lightweight waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers mean I always arrive at my destination perfectly dry. Even if I forget them, well, I am the kind of person who jumps in puddles anyway. No, rain doesn't bother me, not in the slightest.
Fair enough. I must admit that one of my reasons for not buying a car (and not learning to drive) is that I know I'm a lazy sod and would use it on the slightest provocation (ooh, more than 1mph breeze today - better not cycle) if I knew I'd already paid the outlandish vehicle duty and insurance on the damned contraption.
I quite agree they're way too tempting. Prior to car-ownership I used to walk or use public transport (as you may recall my balance problems); now I have to consciously decide to walk somewhere rather than use the car, and public transport rarely crosses my mind due to the sheer hassle of matching connections.
I'm even vaguely concerned I'm not getting enough exercise.
Anyway now the weather's better I might be dragging the Bratii out of a weekend (Warwick Castle also sounds tempting) so that'll help and if The Artist et familie moves up here soon I can match that with Devil Child too; then I'll worn out.

Wind, on the other hand...
Yeah I recall you said you didn't mind rain, this is just the image that popped into my head and who am I to deny such fully-formed ideas :-)
