iTunes yet again.
Well at least this time it didn't wipe out my library, but it did decide it wasn't going to play any videos and that if I tried to update to version 9.0.3 it would lock up and not allow a proper closure.
Note that QuickTime Player itself worked fine, just not in iTunes and none of their diagnostic options allow for a "Check this bloody program is working" because Apple is Perfect™.
Wondering if it might be a problem with the library I follow the instructions found here or at least try to as I get stuck on step 4 "Drag the iTunes Music Library.xml to the Desktop" yeah I would do if I had that file existed. Nevertheless I continue knowing at least I'm starting with a blank slate again.
So again with the manual download of iTunes and boy is it sluggish in starting the install. Once in it's fine, but it really didn't want to start. Wheee and I'm looking at iTunes and it's rebuilding my library, and I add in my Purchased and Car playlist from the ones I'd exported and saved when it last fell apart on me.
I head for the first music video I can find and now it plays. Update of course tells me that 9.0.3 is the latest, so I'll have to see what happens when 9.0.4 arrives.
What a pain in the arse this program has become since it hot version 9.
