Vandals, bridge work, eye-openers, and a wander
Well walking by Saturday morning I noticed that person or persons unknown had decided to spin their motorcycles on the grass next to the paddling pool by the bridge, circles and chunks and basically ripping up the grass and turning the area to mud. At this time of year that's not going to grow back that quickly either.
While around I took some pictures of the entrance and exit to Coopers Lane, just to confirm my memory, yep no signage from either end to indicate it as a route into town.
Also yet more ducks at Flickr.
Some eye-witness reports of fun on the bridge. As I mentioned on January 18 in Just stuff work was starting to re-lay the section of road currently dug-up, and without doubt concrete was poured in, screed, and left to dry. Then the pneumatic drills came in to get it all back out again, no-one seems to know why other then a screw-up at one end or other.
My Sunday afternoon was spent with my two young cousins in Tenbury Wells a town with a population of about 2,500. Note that they have a cinema, tourist information centre, and a museum, whereas we, an avowed tourist town with a population of just under 20,000, have none of those things. It being Sunday pretty much everything was shut. I've some pictures to upload shortly including a fallen tree that's caught between two pillars of the main bridge.
