Snow? and Ready Brek.

Just a quickie, it's turned cold again and we've been getting the odd speck of white stuff in the air. It's difficult to see on the roads, but we're getting what appears to be a scattering of dandruff on the frozen puddles.

James Appell appears to be in talks with Weetabix the makers of Ready Brek regarding their robot ad; in order to start the "Campaign against inconsistent adverts" or CAIA I've joined him and sent this via their web form.

I'm curious as to a logical fallacy present in your latest Ready Brek advert regarding the "Food Police".

As stated in the advertisement the robots are looking to remove foods that are high in additives, sugar, salt, etc. in order to force us to eat healthily.

When they encounter Ready Brek, which is healthy, they can't cope and explode; why?

The only assumption to make is that they have been programmed that all food is unhealthy and therefore must be destroyed, but in that case why analyse the food for 'unhealthiness' in the first place?

Logically they should have either destroyed the Ready Brek, or ignored it. They most definitely should not have exploded, I refer you to Evil Overlord Rule No. 224 "I will build machines which simply fail when overloaded, rather than wipe out all nearby henchmen in an explosion or worse yet set off a chain reaction. I will do this by using devices known as 'surge protectors'."
I'll see what response I get, if you want to join in visit the Weetabix contact form our children shouldn't be presented with such things ;)
